TREVECCA TOWERS WINS TENNESSEE'S BEST IMPACT AWARD

The recognized the Metropolitan Development and Housing Authority and LHP Capital with a Tennessee’s Best Impact Award for the continuing renovation of Trevecca Towers. MHM is proud to be working with LHP on this important project for much-needed affordable housing for seniors and individuals with disabilities in Nashville. The renovations include attractive new common spaces and updated interiors for all apartments. When complete, this transformative project will provide fully renovated new homes for the 350 residents.

MHM is currently working with the on a for the affordable housing development, Oakland Court. This new community will replace the 74 residences that currently reside on the property with 150 new homes. Through a series of Public Interest and Stakeholder sessions, the design team has been gathering feedback from current residents, surrounding neighbors, and community members to create a neighborhood that addresses needs such as safety, greenspace, gardening, walkability, and public transportation access.

MHM welcomed two new faces to the firm last month! Learn more about these fantastic individuals below!

Aaron Miller, AIA, CSI is a Senior Associate and seasoned Project Manager with over 20 years of experience working in the architecture and construction industry. He takes pride in being a team player with excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills and strives to exceed client expectations on every project he touches. His construction background and involvement in all aspects of the delivery process from strategic planning to quality control and construction contract administration allow him to skillfully lead clients and their teams through the entire project from its conception. A Knoxville native, Aaron finds himself often giving back to the community and is currently serving on the board of the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) advancing the design and construction industry through education and collaboration as well as serving on the Fountain City Recreation Commission.

 

Lauren Lucchesi, LEED AP is a Senior Interior Designer who is curiously engaged with how people interact with their environments.  Her goal is to create and deliver the most exceptional product possible for every project that creates both aesthetic and economic value for all. Her varied studio experience over the last fifteen years allows her to easily collaborate with a diverse range of clients from major corporations to non-profit startups. She is passionate about forming relationships and strives to be a team player to ensure that each project goes beyond meeting expectations. Lauren is continuously finding inspiration through most anything, searching out new materials and sources. She likes to consider everything an opportunity.  She is sensitive to design and believes that when approaching projects - "simple is smart.”

NEW PROJECT ARCHITECTS

MHM is extremely pleased to announce that Haley Zimmerman and Steven Whitmore have passed their licensing exams and become Registered Architects in the State of Tennessee.  Both Haley and Steven are graduates of the University of Tennessee’s College Architecture and Design and have been with MHM since their graduations.  Haley’s project experience includes The Tennessean, Webb School of Knoxville and Knoxville Pediatric Associates Foothills Clinic.  Steven has been significantly involved in Gibbs Middle School, ETSU Fine Arts Building and the State Street Parking Garage.
