2018 Orchid Award Winners
Congratulations to The Tennessean for winning a in the Redesign/Reuse category and the Elkmont Exchange for winning the Keep Knoxville Beautiful Orchid Award in the Restaurant/Cafe/Bar/Brewery category on February 20, 2018.
Nathan Honeycutt, MHM’s Associate Principal and Designer on both projects, was in attendance to accept the awards.
Knoxville's 40 under 40
We are proud of our very own, who was honored as part of earlier this month. The Greater Knoxville Business Journal identifies 40 young leaders who are making a difference in our community each year. Through his leadership and involvement at MHM, the East Tennessee Community Design Center, and the AIA East Tennessee, it comes as no surprise to us that he be recognized in this way. Congrats Nathan!

UT Campus Construction
The University of Tennessee campus is transforming, with $530 million in new construction in progress. MHM has been a significant team member in its evolution, working on projects that are in the final stages of construction as well as a few new projects that are in design. Ken and Blair Mossman Building and the second phase of the new Student Union are expected to open in Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 respectively. With the new UT Engineering Service Building and Neyland stadium on the boards, we are excited for what is to come!

University Center Bridge - Hardscape North America Award
The University Center at the University of Tennessee was also recently recognized for its permeable paver design at the elevated bridge connecting Volunteer Boulevard to the Hill. The project won the 2017 Hardscape North America Awards’ Best Permeable Application award. MHM teamed up with BarberMcMurry architects for the design of the project. Rentenbach Constructors worked with Belgard Master Craftsman and Hickory Hardscapes on the installation.
